STUKET CREW
Accessibility
Last updated: 22 August 2026
We want every student to be able to use CREW, including members who rely on assistive technology. This page describes where the site stands and how to tell us when something is in your way.
Our target
We aim for conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA across crew.stuket.in.
What the site does today
- Honours your reduced-motion preference: every animation on the site — including scroll-driven sequences — collapses to its finished state under prefers-reduced-motion.
- Provides text equivalents for purely visual devices: the moving type wall carries a screen-reader transcript, and decorative elements are hidden from assistive technology.
- Keeps body text at or above 4.5:1 contrast against its background, with the documented exception of oversized display type, which meets the large-text threshold.
- Works with keyboard navigation, semantic landmarks, and visible focus states on interactive controls.
Known limitations
- Some sections use scroll-linked presentation on large screens. They have non-animated fallbacks, and we keep testing them with assistive technology.
- The community itself runs on WhatsApp, whose accessibility is outside our control.
Tell us what’s broken
If anything on this site is hard to use with your setup, write to crew@stuket.in with the page and what happened. Accessibility reports go to the people who can actually fix them, and we aim to respond within a week.
